Rooms (5/5) : The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and offer stunning views of either the city or the sea. The comfortable beds and luxurious linens ensure a restful night’s sleep. The modern amenities, including high-speed Wi-Fi and smart TVs, cater to the needs of today’s traveler. Even the basic rooms are very spacious full of luxury amenities including Nespresso machines and comfy slippers and robes. To be honest , the bed was my favorite part – I don’t think I have had such a good night sleep in a hotel ever. It was extremely comfortable!
Service (5/5): The staff at the Gran Hotel Miramar are the epitome of hospitality, going above and beyond to ensure your stay is nothing short of exceptional. You are greeted at the reception with a friendly face and a drink of your choice. The friendly smiles and warm welcomes make you feel instantly at home. A special mention goes to the turndown service, which adds a touch of magic to your evenings.
Location (5/5): The hotel’s location is simply unbeatable, just steps away from the beach and within walking distance of Malaga’s main attractions. You can easily explore the city’s vibrant culture and history, then retreat to the tranquility of the hotel for relaxation.
Pool & Drinks (4/5): The pool area is a haven of relaxation, offering a serene escape from the bustling city. The comfortable loungers and attentive poolside service make it the perfect spot to soak up the sun and enjoy refreshing cocktails. Even though they have lot of loungers it gets busy during busy days where people block loungers for hours by their towels
Breakfast (4/5): While the breakfast spread is undoubtedly delicious, it falls slightly short of the expectations for a five-star establishment. The variety, especially for those with food intolerances, could be improved. However, the quality of the ingredients and the attentive service make up for this minor shortcoming.
Spa (4/5): This was the first 5 star that charged for the Spa visit which was 30 euros/hour. That was kindof disappointing. We did pay for it but from a 5 star hotel at this level it was disappointing that it was not included in the stay. The spa is a sanctuary of wellness, offering a wide range of treatments and therapies to rejuvenate your body and mind. While the facilities are top-notch, a few additional options would elevate the experience to the next level. The Spa is relatively small as well for the cost but has hydro circuit and a sauna.
Overall (4.5/5): The Gran Hotel Miramar is a fantastic choice for travelers seeking a luxurious and memorable stay in Malaga. With its outstanding service, prime location, and beautiful amenities, it’s easy to overlook the minor imperfections.
